“Prashant Panjiar’s King Commoner Citizen is a collection of photographs that blends the somewhat incongruous contemporary lives of erstwhile Indian princes with the incredibly diverse, layered, euphoric, despairing, paradoxical existence of the common Indian.”
The dichotomies between classes, and its interplay is the theme for King Commoner Citizen. Prashant bases the monograph on over 15 years of work. Highlighting the differences and similarities through a visual representation in design, this book seeks to bring to our notice the diversity in life of people in India.
The book is based upon increasing the reach of photography as a medium to the common man. The publishing of this book is to “not” make a coffee table book but to promote photography and visual literacy from India
